*1 When connecting the SL-V units in series, the response time (ON to OFF) is the sum of the response times of al l the individual SL-V units, but the response time (OFF to ON) is the same as that of a singl e SL-V unit.
e.g. When connecting the SL-V32H (32 beam axes), SL-V24H (24 beam axes), and SL-V12L (12 beam axes) in series, the response time of each unit is 10.3 ms, 9.2 ms, and 7.6 ms respectively, and the response time (ON to OFF) is 10.3 ms + 9.2 ms + 7.6 ms = 27.1 ms.
*2 When used under ambient temperature between 45 to 55 °C 113 to 131 °F , the maximum should not exceed 300 mA.
*3 Applies to situations when power is either off or disconnected.
*4 The wiring resistance between the OSSD output and the connected equipment (excluding the resistance of the cable) must be 2.5 Ω or less to ensure operations. If using the NPN output with a cable length of 15 m or longer, and the load current consumption is 200 mA or more, the wire resistance must be 1.0 Ω or less.
*5 When used under ambient temperature between 45 to 55 °C 113 to 131 °F, use incandescent lamps (24 VDC, 1 to 3 W) or LED lamps (load current: 10 to 100 mA).
*6 The current consumption of the transmitter increases by 10 mA and decreases on the receiver by 10 mA when the AUX output (red wire of the transmitter) and the EDM input (red wire of the receiver) are short circuited if the fol lowing additional condition is met. (The total consumption of both transmitter and receiver is fixed.)
In the case where the PNP output type cabl e is used, the condition is that OSSD stays in the OFF state.
In the case where the NPN output type cable is used, the condition is that OSSD stays in the ON state.

All PLC Direct products come with a 1-year warranty. The warranty is issued by PLC Direct. Warranty coverage commences at the date of purchase. The warranty is for mechanical defects or failures not caused by human factors including but not limited to (a) incorrect installation, (b) operating the unit in sub-optimal conditions or in scenarios not recommended by the manufacturer, (c) poor unit maintenance, etc. The warranty does not cover programming or software related issues.

If the product is eligible for PLC Direct’s warranty coverage and the customer encounters an issue with the product, we will request the item is shipped to us for diagnosis and examination. Regardless of the cause of product issues, the customer will bear responsibility for the cost of shipping the unit to PLC Direct for evaluation. Where the unit was damaged by human factors, we will offer a repair or replace quote; in cases where damage was caused by human factors, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the repaired/replaced unit from PLC Direct to the customer. Where the unit was not damaged by human factors but is covered by PLC Direct’s warranty, we will repair or replace the unit at our cost (or, in rare cases, refund you your purchase); in such cases, PLC Direct will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product back to the customer. It is up to PLC Direct’s discretion whether to repair, replace, or refund the customer in such cases. Diagnoses can take time to complete based on technician availability and the complexity of diagnosis.
