Each motor is controlled with a full-bridge (H-bridge). This enables the motors to be moved in both directions.

The X20CP1382 is equipped with an Intel x86 400 MHz compatible processor, 256 MB RAM and 2 GB built-in flash drive. The FRAM for storing remanent variables has 32 kB available. A fanless and battery-free design ensures maintenance-free operation. The controller is equipped with Ethernet, 2x USB and an RS232 interface. In addition, POWERLINK and CAN bus are available as integrated interfaces. For additional fieldbus connections, each controller can be expanded with an interface module from the X20 standard portfolio.

With an optimum price/performance ratio, it has the same basic features as all of the larger controllers. Onboard Ethernet and USB are standard. In addition, the controller has a POWERLINK connection for hard real-time communication. Another slot is available for an additional interface module to increase flexibility. The only difference between the two variants X20CP1483 and X20CP1483-1 is the size of the SDRAM.

Hub expansion module 2x hub 100 BASE-TX The POWERLINK bus controller X20BC8083 and the stand-alone hubs X20HB8880 and X20HB8815 are equipped with a modular hub expansion. An additional 1 or 2 slots are available, depending on the bus base used. The X20HB2880 hub expansion module can be operated in these slots. The status of the module and network are indicated by LEDs
