Beckhoff CX2040-0130 Basic CPU Module, 2.1 GHz Intel Core i7 Quad-Core Processor
The CX2040 has a 2.1 GHz Intel® Core™ i7 quad-core CPU. Due to its high power the CPU is equipped with a fan with ball bearings and speed monitoring. In addition to the CPU and chipset the CX2040 also contains the main memory with 4 GB RAM as standard. The controller boots from the CFast flash memory card.
The basic configuration of the CX2040 includes a CFast memory card, two independent Gbit Ethernet interfaces, four USB 2.0 interfaces and a DVI-I interface.
The CPU has a 128 kB NOVRAM persistent data memory for situations where no UPS is used.

The CX2100-0904 power supply and UPS module is used for supplying power to the components (CPU modules, system and extension modules) of a CX2020 or CX203x system. The power supply module is controlled via TwinCAT. An FSTN LC display with 2 x 16 characters and a selector switch as well as an enter key allow the querying of internal status values as well as self-created display parameters or menus with and without input options. EtherCAT or Bus Terminals can be connected on the right-hand side – the respective bus system is detected automatically and operated by the CPU. Power is supplied to the E-bus or K-bus electronics in the I/O terminals by an integrated but internally separate power supply unit with 2 A at 5 V DC. The CX2100-0904 is in principle passively cooled, has no fan and is intended for operation in the extended temperature range from -25 to +60°C. In addition to the power supply functionality, the CX2100-0904 module also features an integrated capacitive UPS. In the event of a power failure this enables the system to save data on the storage medium and then shut down in an orderly manner.

A matching battery pack – CX2900-0192 – is available for the CX2100-0914 power supply module with integrated UPS. The CX2100-0914 module can be used to charge the external battery pack in order to provide backup power for system and external components such as Control Panels. The CX2900-0192 battery pack in metal housing can be positioned anywhere in the control cabinet on a TS35x15 2.3 DIN rail. It is continuously monitored by the CX2100-0914 charger and is therefore always optimally charged.
The CX5010 and CX5020 are Embedded PCs from the CX5000 series based on Intel Atom® processors and differ only by the CPU version. The CX5010 has a 1.1 GHz Intel Atom® Z510 processor, while the CX5020 has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom® Z530 processor. Apart from the clock speed, the two processors also differ by the fact that the Z530 features hyperthreading technology, i.e. it has two virtual CPU cores for more effective execution of software.
